Save My Soul

Laid in Gray and Lamer Exterminator from the 1994 demo, rebuilt into one song: the chorus comes from Lamer Exterminator. Both are on the Studio page.

In my head there is a man
who's trying to keep my mind insane.
He won't leave, no, he won't go,
no, he will never go away.

He's telling me things I don't wanna hear,
'cause I know it ain't good, I don't wanna be bad.
He's telling me things I don't wanna do,
'cause I know it ain't good, I don't wanna go mad.

He thought he fought the world,
they said he's dangerous,
he thought he saved our souls,
he thought he saved our souls.

Last night when I went to bed,
he came and brought me to a place.
At this place there was a girl,
her eyes were black, her voice was mine.

He's telling me things I don't wanna do,
'cause I know it ain't good, I don't wanna be bad.
The girl, she told me: get away!
The man just laughed and shouted: stay!

He thought he fought the world,
they said he's dangerous,
he thought he saved our souls,
he thought he saved our souls.

He fought the world, he fought the world,
he's dangerous,
he saved our soul.
