Nude

A song from the 1992–93 days, here live at Bimman's party at Majgården on Friday 16 April 1999. Only the vocals and the guitar got onto the tape, so the bass and drums were rebuilt with AI. A rehearsal take from 1999 has a verse that explains the title: “They ask me why I wear no clothes, I just won't care and I keep on walking.”

Time has come and it's time to go out,
I'm lying in my bed, trying to get out.
You know it's hard, you know it's tough,
even though I try, no, it's not enough.

My friends are here, my friends are there,
they ask me to come out, come and have a beer.
I cannot move, I cannot feel,
sometimes even I don't know I'm here.

Staying at home gives nothing to me,
being alone gives nothing to me,
work all day gives nothing to me,
being alone gives nothing to me.

But I cannot move, I cannot stand,
I'm lying in my bed, trying to get out.
So I ask you now, I ask you then:
come on baby, let's go and dance.
And you know it's hard to be the one I am
when it's time, the time to be.

And staying at home gives nothing to me,
being alone gives nothing to me,
playing this game gives nothing to me,
being alone...
