No One Knows

One of our oldest songs: it was already on the very first demo in 1993.

I went to my friend's house, 'cause I wanted to fly,
and so we did, we flew a hundred miles.
We stole a van and went out on the highway,
it was crowded with people, and us.

We drove and drove, to where I don't know,
we almost drove over the old man's toe.
I asked where we're going: not a single sound.
I asked what we're doing: not a single word.

No one knows what we're doing,
no one knows why we're doing it,
no one knows where we're going,
no one knows where we're going.
No one knows, no one knows.

We stopped at a village far away from home,
we were real lost, and really, really gone.
Went to the kindergarten, played with toys,
the headmaster told us: that's enough, boys.

We jumped into the van and drove away,
crashed into a barn and landed in the hay.
I asked where we're going: not a single sound.
I asked what we're doing: not a single word.

No one knows where we're going,
no one knows what we're doing.
No one knows, no one knows.

We gotta stop this thing we're going on,
stop this thing we're doing now,
stop this thing, we gotta stop this thing,
we gotta quit this thing.

No one knows where we're going,
no one knows where we're going now...

Police arrested us, I went to jail,
my mom released me off the big, big bail.
She sent me to a military school,
all the kids thought I was a fool.

Smoking pot and stealing cars
is for them as far as Mars,
so I went to a shop and bought a knife,
nude in the shower, I took my life.

No one knows why I killed myself,
no one knows why I took my life,
no one knows why I killed myself,
no one knows: they were blind.
No one knows.
